Fes

Fes is a northeastern Moroccan city often referred to as the country’s cultural capital. It’s primarily known for its Fes El Bali walled medina, with medieval Marinid architecture, vibrant souks and old-world atmosphere. The medina is home to religious schools such as the 14th-century Bou Inania and Al Attarine, both decorated with elaborate cedar carvings and ornate tile work.

Merzouga

Merzouga is a small Moroccan town in the Sahara Desert, near the Algerian border. It’s known as a gateway to Erg Chebbi, a huge expanse of sand dunes north of town. West of Merzouga, Dayet Srji is a seasonal salt lake that’s often dry in summer. When full, it attracts a wide range of migratory and desert birds, including desert warblers, Egyptian nightjars and, occasionally, flamingos.

Itinerary:

Day 1: FES - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA CAMEL EXCURSION

Our 2 days private Morocco desert tour starts in the morning and we will begin your ascent through the Middle Atlas mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, cliffs, jagged and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. In the middle of the road, stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Then we continue to Erfoud and Rissani. In the evening we reach Merzouga where we stay overnight in desert hotel.

Day 2: MERZOUGA DESERT - RISSANI - ERFOUD - ZIZ VALLEY - MIDELT - FEZ

In the morning we get up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. We will ride camels back to the hotel in Merzouga, and after breakfast and shower we'll head our private Morocco tour through Ziz valley passing Berber villages,and continuing to Fes.This will be the end of our private desert Morocco tour and we wish you happy return back home.
